What I collect, and what I do with it.
I am a single yoga teacher, not a marketing operation. I collect what I need to answer you and nothing else, I do not sell or share it, and you can have it deleted by asking.

What the booking form collects
When you send an inquiry I receive and store your name, your email address, the kind of session you are asking about, whether you want it in person or virtually, any dates you suggest, and whatever you write in the message field. I also record whether you ticked the newsletter box, and the date and time you sent it.
I use all of that for one purpose: to reply to you and arrange sessions. Your message is stored so I can look back at what you asked for before we practise.
What the newsletter collects
Only your email address, along with the date you subscribed and confirmed. Subscribing is double opt-in: you get a confirmation link and nothing is sent until you click it. Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately and without asking me.
What I do not collect
There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, and no tracking cookie on this site. I do not know who visits, how many people visit, or where they came from. Nothing on this site profiles you or builds an advertising audience.
Your IP address is never stored in readable form. The contact service keeps a one-way cryptographic hash of it purely to stop the same source flooding the form with spam, and those records are deleted automatically after 24 hours. A hash cannot be turned back into your address.
Where it is stored, and who can see it
Inquiries are stored in a database file on a private server that I control, not on a third-party form service. The file is readable only by its owner account, and it sits outside the public part of the server, so it is not reachable from the web.
When you submit the form, a notification is emailed to my own inbox at belleyogi@gmail.com, which is a Google service — so the contents of your inquiry pass through Google in the same way an email you sent me directly would.
Nobody else has access. I do not sell your information, I do not rent or trade it, and I do not hand it to advertisers or data brokers.
YouTube videos
The practice videos on the home page show a still image hosted on this site, and nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play. If you do press play, the video loads from YouTube's no-cookie domain and at that point Google receives your IP address and may set storage in your browser, under Google's privacy policy. Not pressing play means YouTube is never contacted.
How long I keep it
Inquiries are kept while you are a client and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Anti-spam records are deleted automatically after 24 hours.
Having your information deleted
Email me at belleyogi@gmail.com and ask, and I will delete your inquiry and remove you from the newsletter. You do not need to give a reason, and it will not affect how I treat you as a client. You can also ask me what I hold about you, and I will tell you.
If you are in California, the CCPA gives you rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. I am well below the size thresholds that make the CCPA apply to a business, but I will honour those requests anyway — ask, and it happens.
Do Not Track
This site does not track you across other websites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. It is honoured by default, because the tracking never happens in the first place.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect their information. A parent or guardian arranging sessions for a young person should send the inquiry themselves.
Changes
If what I collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. There is no archive of previous versions; if that matters to you, save a copy.
